A 6-year-old Golden Retriever.
Diagnosed with hip dysplasia at just 18 months.
He’s the reason Chewy Paws exists.
When I couldn’t find supplements in Lebanon that worked for Sniper, I spent months searching for a manufacturer that met higher standards. The kind I’d demand for Sniper.
4 veterinarians.
One former Royal Canin nutrition expert.
Countless evaluations.
Only after they approved, I let Sniper try them.
The difference in his energy, movement, and happiness changed everything.
Some businesses start with a market opportunity.
Mine started with Sniper. The Dog I Always Dreamed Of I wanted a dog my entire childhood. At 18, I finally got him. A Golden Retriever puppy I named Sniper. He became family instantly. But at just 18 months old, during a training session, everything changed. Our trainer noticed his right back foot flaring outward.
He wouldn’t lie down not because he was stubborn, but because it hurt. X-rays confirmed it.
Hip dysplasia.
The vet gave us two paths.
Surgery. Expensive, months without walking, and physiotherapy that is nearly impossible to find in Lebanon.
Or supplements.
The gentler path. The hopeful path.
We chose supplements.
What followed were years of frustration. Nothing we found locally truly worked.
Every few months, we were back at the vet for injections just so he could feel normal again. Then a neighbor told me she was importing supplements from the U.S.
“They’re great,” she said,
“but shipping costs more than the product.”
And I kept thinking…
How many other dog owners are living this same story?
My rule became simple:
If I wouldn’t give it to Sniper, I wouldn’t sell it. So I searched for months.
GMP & ISO certified manufacturers.
Third-party lab testing.
Proper clinical dosages.
I asked over four veterinarians and a canine nutritional expert with a background at one of the world's leading pet nutrition companies. to review everything. Only after they approved…
Within weeks, people noticed. Friends. Family. Anyone who saw him regularly. He was running more. Playing longer. Moving with a freedom I hadn’t seen in years.Hip dysplasia didn’t vanish. But Sniper was thriving.
That’s when Chewy Paws stopped being an idea.
It became a responsibility.
Lebanon’s dogs deserved better.
Sniper showed me that.
I built Chewy Paws for one simple reason:
to give dogs in Lebanon access to care
I struggled to find for Sniper. That responsibility guides every decision we make. Every ingredient. Every supplier. Every batch.Always.
I will never sell something I wouldn’t proudly give to my own dog.
